EE's 5G cities so far are: London, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Cardiff, Bath, Bristol, Chelmsford, Coventry, Leicester, Liverpool, Oxford, Plymouth, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Lichfield, Lisburn, Newcastle, Nottingham, Salford, Sheffield, Stirling Sunderland, Wakefield and Wolverhampton.

My real struggle here is between our labs-based testing and actually judging whether you should spend this much money on this device. Test-wise, everything works here. The Galaxy S10+ offers a top-of-the line, top-spec experience. I'm just torn on whether or not those specs matter enough to justify the price. The Galaxy S10+ is the first US phone with an under-display, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It's more accurate than the OnePlus 6T's optical sensor. With a dry finger, if you hit the screen at the right spot, I found it to be 100 percent accurate in testing. But that's the thing —you have to hit the screen at the exact right spot. Hitting it off-center results in rejected touches. There's no visual guideline to do so when the screen is off, and no physical guide (like the ridge of a physical sensor) at all. The sensor is less accurate with a wet finger, and not usable at all with a dirty or goopy finger. For more on this, see my separate story on testing the fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy S10+'s Vivid display mode is similar to the Note 9's Adaptive, and the Note 9's Cinema display mode seems a little more accurate than the S10+'s Natural. Both phones are a bit more color accurate than the iPhone XS Max with TrueTone on. Fingerprint SensorO2 currently offers the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, Galaxy A90 5G, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and the Oppo Reno 5G in its 5G handset lineup. The default resolution is Full HD+, but you can crank it to QHD+ and it's pin sharp, with HDR10+ for superior contrast and color. That's an important perk if you’re a movie-watcher on your phone – an idea which isn’t so crazy its size. Shot Suggestions hints at how to fix photos using the phone’s neural processing unit (NPU). We found its real-time tips on leveling shots and framing subjects helpful, with an on-screen reticle to properly center group shots. Sure, its suggestions are at times way off, but for the most part it’s a helpful addition to the camera UI. Samsung still claims "all-day battery life or a bit more", maybe because of the bigger screen here, or maybe just to play it safe. With moderate use – a couple of hours of Spotify streaming, a healthy amount of messaging and social media, an hour or two of Netflix and a smattering of gaming –we found it easy to end the night with an impressive 10% to 30% battery left. On a similar note, the phone’s performance is equally impressive. Samsung’s homebrew Exynos 9820 processor is as fast as they come, largely matching the benchmarking results of its rivals such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and Huawei Mate 20 X 5G.

Three's 5G collection includes the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, Huawei Mate Xs, Huawei P40 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G. If you want that latest screen, processor, Wi-Fi 6, and a nifty, better-located fingerprint scanner, meanwhile, there's the S10e. With a trade-in, the S10e is even cheaper than the S9 right now. But I can't put this more kindly: Samsung's Bixby voice assistant needs to die. Google Assistant is firmly the superior voice assistant, and Bixby's ability to do things like control your phone's battery settings doesn't change the game. There's still a dedicated Bixby button on the left side of this phone, but at least you can remap it to almost anything —anything except Google Assistant, apparently, because Samsung is trying to make a point. Fingerprint (under display, ultrasonic), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2 The S10 5G’s only real downside is overall stamina. Despite the larger battery, the S10 5G didn’t do quite so well as the S10 Plus in our in-house battery rundown test, managing 20hrs and 40mins on a single charge. All things considered, that’s still a very good result, it’s just that the added Exynos 5100 modem clearly has a negative effect on overall battery life even when not in use. Samsung Galaxy S10 5G review: Verdict

The best 5G phone around, but still a hard sell

EE has 12 5G smartphones for you to choose from at the moment. The cheapest option is the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G, while the priciest - by quite a distance - is the foldable Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G. Samsung hasn’t showed favoritism here either: any Qi charging phone worked in our tests, including the iPhone XS Max. We used this feature more than we thought we might during our time at MWC 2019 – and we became quite popular.

The main draw for us is the 93.1% screen-to-body ratio that fits more pixels across a tighter body. Samsung's new Infinity-O display avoids using a notch by opting for a laser-cut hole in the top-right corner for the front camera.

The S10 Plus release date was March 8 2019, and it cost more than its predecessor at launch, the S9 Plus, although you can now find both phones on sale for a bit cheaper now that its successor has debuted.
